The Starbucks Chocolate Java Mint Frappuccino from Starbucks is a welcome addition to the classic line of frappuccinos.
It’s a delicious blend of chocolate, coffee, and mint flavoring that will entice your taste buds.
At least we thought…
Here is everything you need to know about the latest frappuccino in our Starbucks Chocolate Java Mint Frappuccino review.
We were very excited about the release of the new Starbucks summer menu on May 9th, 2023. Last month we confirmed the lauch of a new frappuccino that was supposed to taste just like mint chocolate chip ice cream.
However, shortly after that, a feeling of disappointment followed.
Starbucks Chocolate Java Mint Frappuccino Review
Our first sip of the new Starbucks Chocolate Java Mint Frappuccino was a sweet overpowering shock of mint, followed by a watered-down flavor.
We were disappointed to find out that the new frappuccino did not have java chips, just like the original Java Chip Frappuccino. The only chocolate in this beverage is the topping, which you cannot really experience until the end.
The Starbucks Chocolate Java Mint Frappuccino comes with 3 frappuccino chips that are blended into the drink, giving it a texture similar to a regular Frappuccino — and nothing like the Java Chip.
We were disappointed with the new Frappuccino that will be sticking around for the entire summer.
And it doesn’t even come close to mint chocolate chip ice cream.
Summary
A Venti size Chocolate Java Mint Frappuccino costs approximately $6.25.
If you’re watching your calorie intake this summer, it’s best to avoid this drink as the Venti size contains over 600 calories.
Overall, if you’re willing to spend a little extra money and don’t mind consuming some extra calories, the Starbucks Chocolate Java Mint Frappuccino is worth trying.
However, it is definitely not the mint ice cream-tasting frappuccino that we imagined.
